Classes

  • Adults BJJ All Levels

    The All Levels classes are designed for all levels. Covering all the basics of Jiu-Jitsu as well as introducing new concepts to build on each students game. Includes timed rolling sessions to apply techniques in a practical setting.

  • Adults BJJ Fundamentals

    The fundamentals class is designed to introduce new students to the basic and essential concepts of BJJ as well as solidify the basics for our higher belts. To help our students to understand the movements so they may develop a solid foundation to move forward and build on more advanced techniques. Includes timed rolling sessions to apply techniques in a practical setting.

  • Adults White Belt Beginners Class

    Never trained before? Here at Flow Martial Arts we warmly welcome beginners and those who have never trained before. It doesn’t matter if you’ve never trained Jiu-Jitsu or any type of martial art at all for that matter. Our adult beginners classes are mixed females and males. During these classes, our coaches will teach you all of the basics you need to know to get started. No question is a silly question and so if you have any queries at all, please don’t hesitate to come and ask.

  • Adults Advanced (Blue Belts Above)

    The advanced class is designed for our purple belts and above. Covering more advanced concepts of BJJ as well as introduce some modern jiu-jitsu concepts. This is specifically for students who are comfortable with the basics and fundaments of BJJ and looking to expand their game. Includes timed rolling sessions to apply techniques in a practical setting. Available at our Coolangatta location.

  • adult masters (40+)

    The term "Master” aligns with the term “Senior”. Older students may wish to train with age-appropriate opponents, and so age divisions for students of 40 and over exist.

    The focus of this class is longevity, to be able to train smarter, learn to take care of your body and train for life.

    A masters student is not limited to training only in the class of their current age: it is possible to train in other class times as well.

  • Adults BJJ Drills

    Adults BJJ Drills

    Our Drills classes are focused on helping the students to develop their skills and build their own game to prepare them for progression. Each class is open for a question and answer session that allows time to work on specific techniques and concepts. Includes timed rolling sessions to apply techniques in a practical setting.

  • Female BJJ

    The women’s program is a great opportunity to train with other women in a comfortable non-confronting and accommodating environment. During these classes, our coaches will teach you all of the basics you need to know to get started. This is open to all females from mixed levels of experience and fitness.

  • Flow Turtles (4-7 years)

    We believe that practicing BJJ is a great tool for kids for individual development and personal growth. Our coaches follow the Winners program. This class is designed for children 4-7 years of age so to promote the development of fundamental Jiu-Jitsu skills through the use of games and a fun learning environment. Skills promoted are that of; balance, coordination, fitness, strength, flexibility, discipline, respect, social skills, and self-defense.

  • Flow Sharks (8 - 13 years)

    We believe that practicing BJJ is a great tool for kids for individual development and personal growth. This class is designed for children 8-15 years of age. This is the age where children tend to become much more competitive. Part of this class is aimed at promoting the values of competition, including; being humble in your wins and learning from your losses.

  • Sharks Advanced

    Sharks Advanced, a step above our Sharks Fundamentals. This class is designed for children 8-15 years of age. New techniques and the extra challenge especially for the kids that compete. Part of this class is aimed at promoting the values of competition, preparation, game plan and techniques.

  • No Gi

    Our No-Gi classes are designed for all belt and experience levels. Students have the opportunity to learn grappling techniques where the circumstance involves no gi. Fundamental Jiu-Jitsu techniques have been modified which gives the student another perspective to Jiu-Jitsu which will broaden their strategy and game all round. Includes timed rolling sessions to apply techniques in a practical setting.

  • Privates

    Looking to take your Jiu-Jitsu game to the next level? Whether you are wanting to gain extra one-on-one time before a tournament, improve for class time or to gain a new belt, our expert instructors can help you every step of the way. After a thorough assessment of your game, your private instructor will design the lesson specifically to improve and tweak your skill, technique and equip you with exactly what you need to achieve your goals.
